"In the summer of 2010 my youngest daughter and her fiancé asked if they could get married in our backyard. We felt proud they chose our yard but realized we would have to update the patio area. Our oldest daughter decided that she would help by getting things moving. She contacted a local brick yard and was given 3 recommendations. One did not return her call, one did not seem very interested, but Avant gave her a positive feeling about helping us out.

Our first meeting with Avant was in November 2010. We discussed what we wanted and where we would set up the tent. Avant had never helped with a wedding but were excited to take on the project. After a few pleasant meetings we came up with a blueprint with a pondless water feature, burning pit, circular flagstone patio with stepping stones, mulch, and flowering plants.

July 2011 we were contacted by Avant that they were ready to start our project. Greg and the crew came to the house, introduced themselves, and discussed what they were going to do. They were very patient and respectful with my questions. In 90 degree heat and high humidity the crew began working and cleaning up each day. I appreciated the contact from Avant letting us know the crew would not be out after a rain. I also appreciated when Greg would ask my input as they proceeded with the project. I was very impressed with Dan, the architect, who personally came out to oversee the water feature. Liza, the president, also came out multiple times to inspect the project. The whole team was very concerned that they were meeting our expectations.

We enjoy showing our patio area to our neighbors and friends. Often the comment is “Wow, this looks awesome”. Avant will be in touch with us in 2012 to help with final plans for the wedding. They have already met with my daughter and her fiancé to discuss what large pots and flowing plants they prefer to have in the yard.

We feel so fortunate that our daughter contacted Avant.
