Recycled Landscapes?
How we can incorporate recycling into your landscape construction project? The answer is, we already do!
To begin, you are already recycling just by working with Avant Gardening!
- Soil and plant material we haul away will be composted and later shredded for reuse in our amended soil blends
- We will recycle pallets, metal banding and other products used in transporting materials.
- Our nursery will reuse perennial and shrub pots
- We recycle all black edging and irrigation pipe that we remove
- We use cut wall block and bricks as base material for access roads
Other ways we can "recycle" your landscape
- Reuse existing materials on your property
- Purchase discounted materials from our overstock yard
- Purchase materials from resellers like Deconstruction or the Habitat for Humanity ReStore
- Capture rainwater and reuse it
- Before you purchase new plants, let our designers plan to use plants you already have. Transplanting and dividing existing plant materials can save you money as well
- Use new products that contain recycled content or consider composites rather than wood
- Construct your patio base with recycled concrete instead of new gravel
