Introducing Fish to Their New Home
There are a few things to consider when adding fish to your new system.

• Let the system run a few weeks before adding fish. This will allow your bacteria population to establish prior to stocking.

• The addition of pond salt can help reduce stress and restore the fish's slime coat.

• Add a chlorine, chloramine and ammonia remover before stocking.

• It is best to "bowl" your fish into the pond, gradually acclimating them to the ponds water temperature. If using a net, use a quality fish net that will not damage the fish's gills.

• It is typical for your new friends to hide for the first few days. They are a little stressed out from the move and will become more social as time passes.
